I want you to know that I appreciate you reading every week!

I hope you come away gaining perspective on the industry and can apply it to your own journey as a creator.

ā€¦ as you know, Iā€™m in the trenches making my own content that aims to reach and help creators like you.

I also have the goal to grow our agency business at Zygo from $100k/month to $1M/month which is forcing me to level up as a CEO.

This past week, I was chatting with MrRoflWaffles and StoneMountain64 about how theyā€™re navigating growing their business.

They both have well over a decade of experience and 4M+ subscribers.

Theyā€™ve scaled up, down and up again over the years.

An interesting theme emerged between us which I wanted to share with you.

Creators: Confidence vs. Competence

At Zygo, we had our biggest month ever in December and January + February has been slower.

I tell myself it was because we were focusing on our internal processes, which is true, butā€¦

Having never scaled a business beyond this level yet, Iā€™m figuring it out in real time šŸ˜† 

In the coming weeks, Iā€™ll share with you what is and isnā€™t working!

As we go to each new level of business, weā€™re filled with enthusiasm and then we realize what it actually takesā€¦

Thatā€™s when we enter the ā€œoh fuck what now?ā€ phase šŸ˜† 

Itā€™s where I find it really helpful to turn to other creators and mentors to gain perspective.

Itā€™s humbling but Iā€™ve learned that for each new goal; itā€™s important to have confidence.

Even if I donā€™t have the evidence of hitting that new goal yetā€¦

I need to believe I can do it.
